Ride out 10th Nov. The weather was as promised, dry, sunny and cold. They got the cold bit spot on. 11 of us left the Sainburys car park at the usual time and headed out with Graham and Julie as lead bike, the ride took us to Yelverton then down towards Tavistock, just short of Tavistock we turned right and headed towards Whitchurch, Mary Tavy and Sourton. Bow garden centre was our tea break destination arriving there just before 11am despite the cold what a beautiful ride out! Tea and sausage sandwich consumed it was off on a relatively sort ride to Bridge motorcycles, Exeter for more tea, I was surprised at how good the road conditions were throughout the day with only a small amount of leaf litter and mud on the road allowing good progress to be made by all. The tea break at Bridge m/c gave opportunity to spend lots of money on things!
The ride back to Plymouth for me had to be cut short, so shortly after leaving Exeter I followed a couple of other riders and headed off down the A38. This was the quick way home but makes you realise why riding the lanes and country roads are so much more interesting and fun. So a big thanks to Graham and Julie for leading the group and for a fantastic day out, thanks to all who rode out. See you next time.
Sorry if I got some of the route wrong or the village names in the wrong order but I’m still haven’t a clue where I’m going.
